I know, it sounds lousy.

Rationale:
1) "Positioning" is the most popular term used in business/marketing. We don't have a standard translation for this marketing term. If we use "penempatan posisi" or worse, "pemosisian" it may caused confusion.

2) Strategic can be translated as "strategis" or "stratejik".
The Indonesian army use "strategis" (Komando Strategis AD), while some MM/MBA program use "stratejik".

However, I prefer use "strategis" as mechanic = mekanis, biologic = biologis. (But electric = elektrik??)

Other way is to write it in full phrase, e.g.: "Penempatan posisi (produk/merek/perusahaan) secara strategis".
