If the parcel for the production of hay, silage or other preserved fodder is already cut, the sampling can be done from the swath.
Incremental samples are removed at regular intervals from the swath and combined to form the aggregate samples.
Irregular swath sizes are proportionally taken into account (influence on dry matter content).
Polluted/damaged sites (e.g. mole-hill, compressed by tire) should be omitted, insofar it can be assumed that they do not appear in a large proportion in the harvested material.
