in questa scena c'è un ragazzo che racconta di aver passato una notte romantica con una ragazza, e l'amico accanto gli fa:

"Yeah, I swear this was all me. For real, I was like your route essentially."

Non capisco se gli sta dicendo che è merito suo se i due si sono appartati, o altro. Idee?

A me non risulta che sia un idiom "to be someone's route". Forse con un po' più di contesto si può riuscire a dedurre meglio il significato? A giudicare dalla frase potresti avere ragione tu, "sono stato io l'artefice" o "è stato tutto merito mio" potrebbe essere la traduzione giusta!
