Penso più o meno siano la stessa cosa però direi questo, per un fatto. Da wikipedia "moscardino" (Eledone Moschata) sembrano tradursi "musky octopus".
Il moscardino (Eledone moschata Lamarck, 1798) è un mollusco cefalopode appartenente alla famiglia Octopodidae.

Il punto citato da Lucrezia sarà una sottigliezza, ma io se leggessi 'polpetti' mi chiederei: "ma volevano dire polpettE??". 'Polipetti' mi sembra molto più utilizzato per questo tipo di prodotto, quindi le differenze zoologiche lasciamole ai veterinari, in cucina basta capire di che prodotto si sta parlando! Grazie mille e buone feste!
