In una serie di schede sugli oli essenziali, trovo che per esempio l'olio essenziale di limone ha "fresh, sweet, green, citrus smell", o il pompelmo ha "fresh, green, zesty, sweet, citrus smell".

Altri oli hanno fragranze che sono definite "herbaceous" (per esempio la camomilla), quindi la mia prima ipotesi che green significasse erbaceo non regge.

Per non infilarci tra erbaceo, verde e confratelli ho pensato a questa idea di freschezza e vivacità, forse ci può stare, uno dei significati di verde è anche vivace come sinonimo infatti. :)

Explanation:
"herb" non significa erba in inglese, significa erbe aromatiche. Quindi secondo me "green" significa qualcosa che ha da fare con la clorofilla....
