-I think "building shell" can refer to the roof or a façade. What is "ventilated/not ventilated"?

Perhaps:

La produzione di un impianto FV dipende dal modo in cui un impianto fotovoltaico è strutturalmente integrato con l'edificio (tetto ventilato / non ventilato).
