English term or phrase: Women's Industrial Work of Italy
Da un articolo del New York Times del 1908:

All those who are interested in the continuation in America of Old World industries and the prevention of their utter loss by the merging of the immigrants into the great army of factory workers are interested in the efforts of Miss Carolina Amari of Rome, patroness of the **Women’s Industrial Work of Italy** and a director of the Scuola d’Industria Italiana in New York, who has just returned to this city from Italy to continue her work in the New York school.
About two years ago a lace industry was started at the Richmond Hill Settlement House, at 28 Macdougal Street, by a few New York women, who had at heart the welfare of the Italian women in this country. The idea was to revive the industry as it had been done in Italy, where schools were opened to keep alive the talent inherited from the ancient lace-makers whose beautiful work may be seen from time to time in exhibitions.
