it was so cold and i wanted to go home. faceva così freddo, e io volevo andare a casa. Explanation: I perceive this Italian sentence as having a cause-effect meaning as much as in English. To make the relationship explicit, however, I would invert the two clauses and add perché. "Volevo andare a casa perché faceva così freddo." I don't think it is necessary, though: it also depends on how much is suggested by the context. |
