Salve, sto traducendo un articolo su abilità natatorie e mi trovo di fronte un aggettivo con il prefisso -non, mi chiedo se quando c'è un aggettivo composto con il prefisso -non come in questo caso, il verbo sia negativo. Metto la frase intera e l'aggettivo composto fra due asterischi.

*Non-significant* trends towards improvement were observed within all starts for vertical force components, suggesting the need to practise the dives to retrain the changed neuromuscular properties.

In questa frase secondo me, dato che c'è ''non-significant trends'', il senso è che ''non furono notati andamenti.....'' perchè se il senso fosse positivo tipo ''furono notati andamenti.....'' avrebbe meno senso, mi posso anche sbagliare, boh....
