English term or phrase: heat stopping

The new xxx [modello auto]
0 to 100 Km/h in 9.6 secs.

2.4 seconds
Space shuttle... heat your head out

4.1 seconds
Teeth gritting, heat stopping... ACCELERATION

6.5 seconds
Starting to understand this adrenaline thing, right?

Grazie mille in anticipo

Italian translation:freni che surriscaldano...
Explanation:
"4.1 secondi.

"I mean REALLY....all that braking and turning and more accelerating, then doing it again, then the tires get greasy and it slides more, the brakes overheat and provide for the occasional heat stopping moment"

spero di esserti stata utile, ciao

heart stopping

Explanation:
