Explanation:
"Tester" va bene, ma "dispositivo" significa qui lo stesso, e mi piace di più. ;-)
Io direi che l'espressione nel senso di "dispositivo remoto" sarebbe più corretto nel contesto dato di "... per diagnostica remota", perché "remote diagnostic tester" e "tester for a remote diagnosis" non ha esattamente lo stesso significato.
