Si parla di percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty

In coronary angiography, the introducer sheath may be removed fter the procedure. With interventional procedures, the introducer sheaths usually remain in place for a specific time. Patients move to either the coronary care unit or an interventional unit for continued monitoring after PTCA. In both procedures, manual pressure and / or a mechanical compression device is applied to the site after the introducer sheath is discontinued. Some hospitals also require application of a sandbag.
