Therapy should not be delayed for patients with implanted pacemakers and a defibrillation attempt should be made if the patient is unconscious and not breathing.
The XXX has pacemaker detection and *rejection*, however, with some pacemakers the XXX may not advise a defibrillation shock.

Si tratta di un defibrillatore, ma non riesco a rendere quel "rejection", anche perché non vi sono spiegazioni ulteriori. Il defibrillatore in questione ha un sistema di rilevamento dei pacemaker, giusto? E la "rejection" come può essere interpretata in questo caso? Avevo pensato a "rifiuto" o "rigetto", ma poi si crea una contraddizione con la frase precedente, nella quale si consiglia di non ritardare l'intervento anche se il paziente ha un pacemaker.

non so come puoi renderlo in italiano, ma secondo me il significato di quel "and rejection" può essere che se il defibrillatore rileva che il paziente ha un pacemaker e in certi casi il dispositivo può "rifiutarsi" di funzionare, la frase dopo infatti dice che con certi pacemaker è sconsigliabile l'uso del defibrillatore - la frase rimane un po' strana lo stesso

non so come puoi renderlo in italiano, ma secondo me il significato di quel "and rejection" può essere che se il defibrillatore rileva che il paziente ha un pacemaker e in certi casi il dispositivo può "rifiutarsi" di funzionare, la frase dopo infatti dice che con certi pacemaker è sconsigliabile l'uso del defibrillatore - la frase rimane un po' strana lo stesso
