I am translating a business letter, where, unfortunatelly, the equipment to buy is described in detail and I have several questions.
First of all the name of the machinery

As explanation in the text they say that
"the shakeout is designed to accept hot sand and castings as discharged from the customer's ** punch-out system** and separate sand and castings

Punch-out system = ??

Then the description of this system

**two-mass medium frequency primary shakeout**, 1.500 mmm wide and 6100 mm long, complete with twin pneumatic air spring system fitted to the discharge end, twin motor drive assembly....

Asker: Credo che si tratti piuttosto della pulizia della fusione. Veramente avevo messo le domande tutte insieme perché mi sembrava che il contesto fosse più chiaro. Solo che non riesco a trovare una dicitura soddisfacente e di cui possa essere sicura (senza aiuti intendo, perché non sono riuscita a trovare nessun riferimento.....)
