to set significa anche mettere in posizione /posizionare/mettere/inserire ecc. ecc.
Quindi il setting dei tools non mi sembra la programmazione riguardi quali utensili caricare per farne l'uso che si desidera

La mia interpretazione di "settings" è legata a questa definizione: "(Engineering / Mechanical Engineering) any of a series of points on a scale or dial that can be selected to control the level as of temperature, speed, etc., at which a machine functions" http://www.thefreedictionary.com/setting

Asker: perché dici "in questo caso", a me sembra più corretto "caricamento". Prima dice che l'elettrodo in rame viene inserito in un portautensili... quindi la macchina è programmata per caricare l'utensile (tool o elettrodo)
