Explanation:
me ne vado un po' per intuito, comunque ho l'impressione si tratti di qualcosa di ben oltre la stranezza. Mi viene in mente una persona che, mentre assume certi atteggiamenti bizzarri, è completamente estraniata e sembra isolarsi dalla realtà che la circonda, proprio come un computer che si spegne e si "isola" dal resto.

Una definizione di off dice: To depart; to escape; as, he was off without a moment's warning.
