I need to know the italian equivalent for "Items per Sale" (IPS). It is also known as "Items per Transaction" (IPT). This is one of the criteria to evaluate the performance of store assistants / salespeople.

Items Per Sale - tells us about the ability of the salesperson to add-on to a sale.

Example:
They (store assistants) have targets to hit, high targets. Their performance is constantly monitored on percentages- they aim to sell *% make up * % skin care etc.. IPS/IPT: this stands for Items per sale/transaction. If you buy a single product this will bring their items per sale down so they have to try to avoid this.

neutral  Adriana Esposito: dubito.. qui si parla di quantità di articoli per vendita/transazione, cioè quanti articoli è riuscito a 'rifilare' ;) il venditore al cliente... Confermo il mio neutral. Scontrino non chiarisce il affatto concetto.

Explanation:
I am afraid I have found no references in Italian, ie no 'official' transation for this. Thus i would just use the literal translation which - I think - conveys the right meaning.
This looks to me very much connected with the concept op up-selling, which in Italian reamains untranslated (we use the English term).
