B. Protect trenches and sewers located within the Hot Work Area in conjunction with the isolation of energy sources.
C. Evaluate the areas above or below the area where Hot Work is being done for shielding needs.
D. When performing High Energy Hot Work that is bordering a flammable area, reduce the travel of sparks and slag by the use of physical barriers like fire resistant tarpaulins.
E. All tarps, ***blankets***, or enclosures used for shielding shall be made of 100 percent flame-retardant material.
