Il significato è "preservativo", ma secondo voi c'è un modo colloquiale (e non troppo dialettale) comprensibile all'italiano medio che rispetti la versione originale?
A me viene in mente: guanto (ma forse è troppo colloquiale e non so se si usa solo a Roma), cappuccio, goldone (milanese). Altri suggerimenti? Grazie.

at any rate, "French Letters" is quite an "elegant" way of putting it and I don't think any of the traditional Italian words convey this!!
