Concordo con Giuseppe sul fatto che l'espressione non sia volgare, ma volevo proporre delle alternative perché "canaglia" può essere utilizzato anche in modo ironico (simpatica canaglia), mentre in questo caso la connotazione è decisamente negativa. Se il contesto non dà adito a dubbi, "canaglia" va benissimo.
