concordo, ne converrai che non sia il massimo della correttezza questo HIS maschile e poi IT neutro... nello stesso paragrafo. Si potevano decidere prima... alla faccia delle concordanze indicate nelle linee guida e manuali di stesura testi e dei suggerimenti grammaticali e di logica!!! Quelli dei traduttori compresi... che ci propinano in ogni dove, case editric incluse :((((

in realtà l'hanno solo chiamato col suo nome, Jim, dal che deduciamo che è maschio, ma poi genericamente parlando viene definito "it", in quanto animale... Anche per "la ragazza", indubitabilmente femminile, in tedesco si usa il neutro asessuato "es"... Quindi magari dici che si chiama Fiona, e sappiamo tutti che è una giovane donna di sesso femminile, ma poi ne parli col pronome di una cosa... :-)

L'unica cosa che posso pensare è che IT si riferisca all'idea che ha avuto, ossia quella di andare a vedere se fa i bisogni sul prato del vicino.

sei sicura che sia scritto così?
IT non può riferirsi al cane visto che prima lo chiama al maschile, JIM.
Quindi bisognerebbe scopire a cosa fa rifimento questo IT che sembra una pallina da softball... non credo si riferisca già ai bisogni del cane che non dovrebbe ancora aver depositato... a quanto pare dal testo... già strambo di per sé.
