The context is a UN report entitled "Resilient people, resilient planet". Of course the translation may vary according to the context, so multiple choices could be possible for the examples above, but I can't determine whether it generally refers to "flessibilità" or to "resistenza", leaving out the loan "resilienza".
I've tried looking up on monolingual dictionaries, and the meaning they convey appears to be more consistent with "flessibilità".
Any suggestions/confirmations?

Ecology

In ecology, resilience has been defined in two competing fashions that emphasize two different aspects of stability.

One definition is the rate at which a system returns to a single steady or cyclic state following a perturbation. This definition of resilience assumes that behavior of a system remains within the stable domain that contains this steady state.

When a system can reorganize, that is shift from one stability domain to another, a more relevant measure of ecosystem dynamics is ecological resilience. It is a measure of the amount of change or disruption that is required to transform a system from being maintained by one set of mutually reinforcing processes and structures to a different set of processes and structures.

The second definition emphasizes conditions far from any steady-states, where instabilities can flip a system into another regime of behavior - i.e. to another stability domain. In this case resilience is measured by the magnitude of disturbance that can be absorbed before the system changes its structure by changing the variables and processes that control behavior. This type of resilience has been defined as ecological resilience.

Il termine "resilienza" in origine proveniva dalla metallurgia: indica, nella tecnologia metallurgica, la capacità di un metallo di resistere alle forze che vi vengono applicate. Per un metallo la resilienza rappresenta il contrario della fragilità. Così anche in campo psicologico: la persona resiliente è l’opposto di una facilmente vulnerabile. Etimologicamente “resilienza” viene fatta derivare dal latino "resalio", iterativo di "salio". Qualcuno propone un collegamento suggestivo tra il significato originario di "resalio", che connotava anche il gesto di risalire sull’imbarcazione capovolta dalla forza del mare, e l’attuale utilizzo in campo psicologico: entrambi i termini indicano l’atteggiamento di andare avanti senza arrendersi, nonostante le difficoltà.

La mia personale definizione del termine è la seguente: la resilienza psicologica è la capacità di persistere nel perseguire obiettivi sfidanti, fronteggiando in maniera efficace le difficoltà e gli altri eventi negativi che si incontreranno sul cammino. Il verbo "persistere" indica l’idea di una motivazione che rimane salda. Di fatto l’individuo resiliente presenta una serie di caratteristiche psicologiche inconfondibili: è un ottimista e tende a "leggere" gli eventi negativi come momentanei e circoscritti; ritiene di possedere un ampio margine di controllo sulla propria vita e sull’ambiente che lo circonda; è fortemente motivato a raggiungere gli obiettivi che si è prefissato; tende a vedere i cambiamenti come una sfida e come un’opportunità, piuttosto che come una minaccia; di fronte a sconfitte e frustrazioni è capace di non perdere comunque la speranza.
