apples of cheeks 頬の頂点 / 頬の盛り上がり頂点 Explanation: "頬骨" is defined in the dictionary as "cheekbones" and they are the underlying support for the 頬 (cheeks). However, the "apples of cheeks" are the high point of the surface of the cheeks where the cheeks pop out the most right at the cheekbones. This is where there is a prominent roundness to which the blush/blusher is applied to give a rosy and healthy look. Here are some examples: http://okwave.jp/qa/q253607.html http://cosme.beauty.yahoo.co.jp/search/review_search?pid=227... http://xbrand.yahoo.co.jp/category/beauty/4539/3.html 若いころは頬の頂点の位置が高いが、加齢とともに位置が下がり、法令線もできやすくなる http://www.cosme.net/product/product_id/2896652/top 広い範囲の下地を塗った後、これで頬にツヤつけて、ファンデ乗せて、チークすると、頬の頂点につや出ます -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2010-07-05 14:05:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think that "applying blush on the 頬の頂点 (apples of cheeks) to give a perfect afterglow" sounds very natural from the standpoint of applying makeup. |

Now look into the mirror and give a smile so that your cheekbones are raised and place the blush on the apple of your cheek.
