neutral  Yumico Tanaka (X): レセプションというのは、もともと客を受け入れる側からの表現であり、招待状を読む側からして読みたい表現を考えると、祝賀会のほうがいいかなと思います。まあ今では普通に使われていますけどね。招待会：ちょっとそのままという感じですね。いろいろ考えられますね。

I think it might make sense to translate private as "invitation only". 宴会 would have the nuance of a large group of people at a sit down meal in Japan.

There is also the option of "ご招待客限定の祝賀会" suggested by Yumico and Akiko which I think the best.

neutral  Mami Yamaguchi: Terribly sorry, but ...「招待者のみの」 and 「ご紹介客限定の」　won't work here, because the writer uses 'private'. It doesn't carry the connotation of "business" even if the invited guests would be the host's clients.　 `―（様）限定’　is somewhat commercial-like.

'private'は、あえて訳すなら、「内輪での」と訳すと思いますが、訳さなくても差し支えないかもしれません。　「・・・を祝う会」は、もともと個人の偉業などをたたえるprivateな会なので、privateを訳す必要はないでしょう。
「招待客限定・・・・・の招待状」とすると、馴染みあるのが、お店などがお得意さんに出す招待状で、イベントでは、招待客限定で特売を行っているイメージが強いです。

祝賀会も、大体private会なので、あえて訳す必要がないと思います。　訳すなら、
「内輪」でしょうが、日本語で、「プライベート・・・会」とすると、「密会」のイメージになります。

「ご招待者限定｣はマーケティングでよく使われるフレーズであり、「特別」とダブルでエクスクルージブさも付与できると思います。
ややpushyではありますが、招待される側の気持ちをくすぐる(?)こともできるのではないでしょうか。
