Yes  Minoru Kuwahara: 防波島・・・初めて聞きました。防波堤のような役割を果たす地形が陸地にくっついていれば砂嘴で、離れていれば防波島なのでしょう。日本のように小じんまりとした環境よりもアメリカのようにダイナミックな海岸地理に見られることが多く、フロリダ沖、テキサス沖、ノースカロライナ沖などに代表的な地形が見られるらしいですね。-
