浮動票層 or 浮動票投票者 Definition from own experience or research: swing voterとは、（１）特定の政党や派閥に属さないために選挙直前まで票の行方が定まらない有権者、また（２）特定の政党に属している場合でも政党の垣根を超えて投票する可能性のある有権者を指します。大まかにいうと、swing vote/undecided vote（浮動票）を握っている有権者のことです。 Example sentence(s): Explanation: 上の定義の（１）は、いわゆる無党派層＝independents, non-partisanのことで、これと混同してswing voter＝無党派層と訳している場合もありますが、swing voterには（２）の定義も含まれるので無党派層とは区別する必要があります。また、ご指摘のとおり、swing voterの意味で単に「浮動票」とする表現も多く見受けられますが、浮動票はあくまでもswing vote/undecided voteなので、これも区別が必要です。 kamadaさんの浮動有権者も良い訳だと思いますが、浮動票層のほうがより広く使われている表現で、こちらのほうがgoogleでもヒット件数が多いです、voterのニュアンスを出すのであれば「浮動票投票者」のほうが耳馴染みが良いような気がします。 |
