During the course of a proceeding, there are things that a party may do as of its right and there are other things that it may only do with leave (許可) of the court. In the case of the latter, the party to benefit from the action must ¥"move¥" or ¥"make a motion¥" for the leave of the court. It appears that ¥"We¥" are moving for a special leave of the court so the court may stay (=temporarily stop the effect/enforcement of ) the order of IPAB.

(１) 拒絶査定に対する不服申立制度 商標登録局の決定に不服があれば、高等裁判所(The High Court)に対して申し立てることができる(商標法第 75 条)。出訴できる期間は、決定を受領した日から 14 日以内である。 高等裁判所(The High Court)の判決に不服であれば、さらに控訴裁判所(The Courtof Appeal)に上告できる。上告期間は、同じく 14 日以内である。上告する前に、「上告することについての許可」(leave to appeal)を得なければならない。
