neutral  Nathan Takase: I don't understand Chrisso's link. That would be キョクテイ in katakana, despite the Chinese pronunciation matching the question. I posted my answer because I think normally チン would be qin or qing.

agree  Mami Yamaguchi: Based on the Phonetic Notation of Chinese, 'ting' is 「ティン」, and 「ティ」 and 「チ」should be differentiated between.
