English term or phrase: other world
I need to write an article in Japanese, where I am to mention the concept of "the other world" in European Romanticism (world of angels, fairies, spirits or even God). I am afraid that this concept doesnt 100% overlap with 「異界」, as "the other world" is always higher/better than the human world, whereas 「異界」 can be the world of kappas or oni or whatever other creatures, placed below humans in the Japanese cultural/mental hierarchy. It is also not 「他界」as it is not connected to death conceptually so much. I'd rather use 「異界」, but add an explanation, like "higher/better/lofty". However I dont want to sound childish using 「より良い」or anything of this kind. Can anybody please give me a good intelligent Japanese adjective to transmit any of the above meanings ("higher/better/lofty")? I cannot think of anything, but 理想的な. Will it work? Thank you for your kind attention and help.

上界 or 天上界

Explanation:
These are originally Buddhist terms and obviously not equivalent to the thoughts of European Romanticism, but I believe they come close. In Buddhism, it describes a hightened state of conciousness where pleasure is experienced through concentrated self-control.
