English term or phrase: be credited with
the journal is credited with initial publication.

This is form the following articles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Permission requests from authors

The authors of articles published by Nature Publishing Group, or the authors' designated agents, do not usually need to seek permission for re-use of their material as long as the journal is credited with initial publication. For further information about the terms of re-use for authors please see below."

be credited with は、「貸し方に記する」「。。。

-> "Article ABC," Nature is credited with Article ABC," Nature is credited with initial publicationなら明示するのほうがすっきりするかと思います。

Explanation:

Notes to answerer

Reference information:
"The authors of articles originally/first published by Nature Publishing Group, or the authors' designated agents, provided that NPG's permission to reuse their writing if Nature Magazine is named as the first journal to publish the material."

NPG has a policy of allowing authors to re-publish their materials elsewhere, but there is one condition: the authors must give credit to Nature Magazine whenever they reprint anything that was first published in Nature Magazine. They must name Nature Magazine as the original publisher of the materials.

For example:
[Title]
[Author]
[Article]
"Originally published in the March 2010 issue of Architectural Record"

You're welcome! This is my original work; I rewrote the English of the text that you provided in order to make the meaning easier to grasp. I am 100% confident that this is the correct meaning, although if you plan to show this to your client, I'd recommend adding "usually" as follows: "The authors of articles originally/first published by Nature Publishing Group, or the authors' designated agents, do not usually need permission to reuse their writing, provided that Nature Magazine is named as the first journal to publish the material."

Asker: Thank you for your advice, which is very concrete, so that my client can know what he should do to follow the NPG's policy. Now, I'd like to make sure that the above your revised sentence, "The authors of articles originally/......" is a extract from some kind of NPG's article, such as web site or not? Or, is this your original? If this is a extract, I could show the source to my client. Would you let me know this, if possible. Thank you.

Asker: Thank you so much for your quick response to my question, Shannon. I am going to show this explanation as an translator's notes. That was a really big help.
