English term or phrase: Best feet forward
It is never easy trying to persuade people to part with cash for which they’ve toiled – and it is even harder when, to realise their pledges, you must tackle 100km of tough terrain in one of the world’s most gruelling adventure races.
A team from the XXX bravely tackled this challenge. The fabulous four-some put in untold hours of exhausting training before the big day on 8 November, 2007. Although they succumbed before the MacLehose Trail finishing line owing to illness within the team, their dedication is to be applauded.
Thanks are due to all members of staff who supported the Trailwalker through their generous sponsorship. Proceeds raised from this event went to the charity, Oxfam. The Group head office, together with XXX, raised more than HK$170,000 (US$21,794).
