私、ダイビングしていた（水中写真撮っていた）ので、このサイトはよく訪れました。Tekkieは熟練ダイバー、マニア・ダイバーなどと訳すのですが、最近は情報網の発達によりこのサイトを訪れる人が多く、テッキーでも通じることが多い。マニアックな雑誌などの訳なら　「テッキー（マニア・ダイバー）」　という風に、かっこに入れてもいいかもしれません。

  -> これって、テクが入ってるのかな？海中作業関係の訳ならテクという語が入るべきですよね。でもレジャーの世界なら「テク」はいらないのでは？ハイテク・ダイバーだと超近代的な装備で、空気なんか海中から取れるようなスゴイ器具で身を固めている感じがするんだけど。私は遊びの世界を想像しての訳です。ハイテクというの、凄すぎないいいかた、ないかなァ．．．って、私たちで楽しんじゃってる？

Explanation:
This is just to throw another suggestion in the mix, but when I read "tekkies", I imagine someone who is totally into diving or possibly even into diving around shipwrecks. So it seems like you could just make up a Japanese term, using おたく to get the point across here. I also like マニア　ダイバー, but I thought this was kind of similar, so maybe it could be used. Just a thought!

ここでいうtekkie は いわゆる一般の技術屋のことではなく、テクニカルダイビング（スクーバダイビングのカテゴリーの一つ）をする人のことです。テクニカルダイビングは tek divingと呼ばれることもあります。
