Atradu kaut kādās vārdnīcās ideju, ka to varētu saukt par 'tvaika vāceli',
bet šis nešķiet pārāk "lietots" termins.

neutral  Kaspars Gasuns: Esmu ļoti skeptisks pret tendenci saukt tvertnes un (gāzes) balonus par cilindriem. Tas ir tīrs angļu aizguvums, un tam arī nav nepieciešamības, jo attiecīgajās nozarēs jau sen ir iesakņojusies tradicionālā un pat standartizētā latviskā terminoloģija.

Tātad steam drum ir tā tvertne, kurā ūdens tiek nodalīts no tvaika, tomēr nevajadzētu to saukt par separatoru, jo specifiski separators ir tikai viena daļa no steam drum.

Par latvisko atbilsmi. Tradicionāli to sauca par boileri (skatīt web references), bet tur ir zināma terminoloģiskā problemātika, jo par boileri mēs parasti dēvējam ūdens sildītājus. Turklāt papildu sajukumu rada mijiedarbība ar angļu "boiler" lietojumu.
Iespējams, tādēļ šeit ir mēģināts to saukt par "tvaika tvertni":
