I know this is a repeated question but the client has come back and now mentioned that "seat license" is correct. The term is explained below. I doubt that is an existing Malay term for it. Any suggestions are most welcome.

There is actually a big difference: seat license means you pay per number of users (i.e. numbers of people in "seats", sitting at their computer using the software). A 50-seat seat license means you can have 50 simultaneous users at one time, and they can be different users from day to day, but only 50 at one time.

[good to know the term exists. this is also a good reminder for all conscientious translators that assumption, no matter how plausible, should not come before getting more info/context. (mona was on the right track!) i normally would have googled to ascertain the existence of a term before making a suggestion but didn't when this question came up the first time since i was content to assume it was a typo. i feel quite chagrined actually as i usually try not to be frivolous and irresponsible when making suggestions.]
