switched interlocked Bryterlås/Kontaktlås Explanation: A bryterlås is an interlock switch http://www.luna.no/portalshare/katalog/gemensam/v50/ Kontaktlås is a lock for a switch. Interlocked means that when, for example, a door opens or a safety device is triggered the switch (machine) turns off automatically. From wikipedia: In most applications an interlock is a device used to help prevent a machine from harming its operator or damaging itself by stopping the machine when tripped. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlock_(engineering) It can also mean more broadly an integrated lock. It can also mean greb. I saw that the term 'interlock' is used in Norwegian as is many other terms for interlock see below: A dørbryter is an interlock switch http://www.seeto.no/gem/servlet/getGemObject?id=4092 Nødstopp brytere is an emergency stop switch http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nødstopp alkolås is an alcohol ignition interlock on a motor vehicle http://www.toi.no/getfile.php/Publikasjoner/TI rapporter/200... http://www.toi.no/article19439-29.html Compare the following http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:C:2...
