Nei, dette ble feil i din kontekst. Det er vel heller snakk om en slags plate som tekstilene tres over før trykkeprosessen. Platen må ha en tørr overflate for at tekstilene ikke skal skli (se under). Så korrekt oversettelse blir nok bare "tørr plate".
