cheater bar kjedetang Explanation: rørtang/kjedetang/kjempestor vannpumpetang This will give you teh picture: Now the mechanic reaches for the sledgehammer and a chisel. When he gets frustrated with that, he’ll go to the pipe shop to borrow a couple of big pipe wrenches with "come-a-longs" (We used the term "bulldicks" at Republic Steel, and other shops call’em "cheater bars"), one for the shaft and the other for the sleeve. He might even try the electric grinder. Finally he gets the acetylene torch to melt the sleeve off the shaft. Det er egentlig en rørtang med et kjede som trekker seg på når du legger makt på tangskaftet. |

latmannsarm/rør Explanation: The term "cheater bar" is an American english term describing a tool, often improvised from an available piece of metal pipe, that is slid over the handle of an existing tool to increase the length of the handle and thereby increase the leverage available. The closest in Norwegian to this is "latmannsarm med rør",(extension bar with pipe). Sorry I could not offer you this response before you closed the question. |
