English term or phrase: panning
Definition from photographytips.com:
Technique that involves taking a picture while moving the camera at a relatively slow shutter speed. It is almost always used when tracking a moving object, such as a race car, as it travels across the film plane. When properly carried out, the object is rendered relatively sharply while its surroundings are blurred.

Example sentence(s):
  • An area that has too much light will make it difficult to slow your shutter speed down enough for a panning shot. Photofocus
  • Make sure you press the shutter when the subject reaches a mid point along your panning track to ensure it's in the best position and try to follow without moving up or down to prevent subject blur. ePHOTOzine
  • Panning is a means of creating a visual sense of motion in a photograph. The Lawrence Journal-World

Panorering

Definition from www.ordnett.no:
Filme ved å dreie apparatet horisontalt

Example sentence(s):
  • Panorering er en teknikk som krever mye øvelse. Teknikken er bedre forklart på panoreringssiden, men kort fortalt går det ut på å følge objektet gjennom en relativt lang lukkertid slik at bakgrunnen ser ut som den farer forbi. - Hobbyfoto.no
