Most gear heads don't like "numb steering" 'because i want to know how my car is reacting to the road through the tires. Steering numbness comes from dealers putting high profile comfortable eco tires and heavy power steering on their cars, which eliminates all feedback to the steering wheel and the driver.

Explanation:
Rozumiem, o czym mowa, ale nie jestem pewien polskiego terminu. Tak opisałbym to mechanikowi. Chodzi o sytuację, w której po przekroczeniu pewnej prędkości pojawia się swoista "nadsterowność", zaczyna drżeć kierownica, i trzeba bardzo ostrożnie (i dość często) korygować samochód, by nie zjechał z pasa ruchu. Zdarza się np. przy przepompowanych oponach lub braku zbieżności/wyważenia. Ja wtedy mówię, że auto "pływa".
