Marka własna (ang. private label) - marka pod którą dystrybuowane są produkty bądź usługi wytwarzane przez jedno przedsiębiorstwo, a sprzedawane pod szyldem innego (powstałe na jego zamówienie). Strategię marki własnej stosuje się w wielu różnych gałęziach przemysłu m.in. w przemyśle żywieniowym, kosmetycznym oraz internetowym (hosting).
Produkty i usługi oferowane pod markami własnymi, czyli takie które najczęściej wytwarzane są na zamówienie dużych firm i sieci handlowych, są zwykle tańszymi alternatywami dla dobrze znanych lokalnych lub międzynarodowych marek. Istnieją jednak i takie, które pozycjonowane są jako marki luksusowe.
Sprzedaż produktów znanych firm pod markami własnymi sieci handlowych po niższej cenie jest możliwe m.in. ze względu na brak konieczności ponoszenia przez producentów kosztów reklamy i organizowania kanałów dystrybucji. Towary oferowane pod markami własnymi sklepów bardzo często nie odbiegają jakością od swoich znanych, markowych odpowiedników (a czasem są wręcz identyczne, a jedynie inaczej opakowane i oznakowane). Produkty marek własnych pełnią istotną rolę w dzisiejszym smart shoppingu.
