English term or phrase: stem ginger
Sticky toffee puddings with ginger and salted caramel
(...)
175 g self-raising flour
175 g pitted dried dates
300 ml hot water
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
50 g stem ginger in syrup

We wcześniejszych przepisach tłumaczyłem "stem ginger" jako "imbir w syropie". Np. Pumpkin and maple syrup cheesecake:
400 g pumpkin or squash (prepared weight)
125 g melted butter
200 g digestive biscuits
50 g ground pecan nuts
25 g finely chopped stem ginger

A teraz mam "stem ginger IN SYRUP", czyli chyba wcześniej błąd.

Polish translation:młody imbir
Explanation:

Wydaje sie, ze stem ginger to to samo co:

green ginger = spring ginger = new ginger = young ginger = stem ginger = pink ginger = baby ginger

Notes: These pink-tipped, shiny pieces of young ginger are mild and usually don't need to be peeled. They're easy to find in Asian markets.

Substitutes: ginger (more pungent)

kandyzowany imbir

Explanation:
dynamicznie
opis tu (u dołu) wskazuje, że to kandyzowany imbir - ale cukiernikiem nie jestem stąd pewność średnia, bo może są niuanse

Zob. też PWN/Ox - jest tłumaczenie - czemu nie odpowiada?

imbir marynowany

Explanation:
Cienkie plastry młodego imbiru w lekko słodkiej zalewie octowej.
Samo "stem ginger" oznacza "korzeń imbiru", choć w rzeczywistości jest to kłącze naziemne.
