także myślę, że chodzi o zmianę prędkości:
zwolnienie przy dodawaniu kolejnego składnika i przyspieszenie celem wymieszania, i sukcesywnie tak samo przy następnych.
Nie mam miksera z funkcją PULSE (o czym pisze 'rzima'), ale chyba ona to załatwia.

"Do kogla-mogla dodać porcjami zmielony ser i proszek budyniowy, wciąż ucierając masę. Chodzi o to, żeby była gładka jak aksamit i w miarę możliwości puszysta."

To są przepisy kulinarne, ale na stronie Philipsa. Dużo przepisów z różnych części świata, ale właśnie pojawia się mikser, robot kuchenny, blender (w domyśle tej firmy). Ja to rozumiem w ten sposób, że za pomocą tego przycisku przerywana jest praca robota, żeby na przykład dodać kolejną partię sera.

można znaleźć ten zwrot w różnych kontekstach:

Wg mnie jest to po prostu - przełącznik zmiany prędkości, dodawaj więc składniki stopniowo zwiększając prędkość obrotu metalowych ostrz w mikserze :).
