With an overnight address it an actual phyiscal location where a person can sign or accept the item. Its common with bill payments. If you send something lets say by fed ex they will only deliver to a person not a PO Box. Also with a PO Box that is something that may not be checked as often as an overnight address. When I worked in bill processing we got payments on mondays and thursday only. So if you sent in a payment that was due on friday and it went to the mailing address it would arrive and sit in the box until the pickup time and then it would be placed in a bin for processing.
