Chyba jednak im się to jednak nie spodobało, nie mogę znaleźć innych wystąpień u nich. W każdym razie bardziej formalnie: przesyłać kopię.

neutral  Wojciech Sztukowski: to copy sb on... - przesyłać, nie otrzymywać. Warto byłoby się jaśniej odnieść do kontekstu, ale zostało to już zrobione poniżej i powyżej, więc nie będę się więcej czepiać.

  -> W tekście jest strona strona bierna (is copied) - to tak, jak "He was given an award" znaczy "Otrzymał nagrodę" (= przyznano mu nagrodę). Podobnie "he was told" = można tłumaczyć jako "dowiedział się".
