effective head (eh) skuteczna wysokość ciśnienia (EH) Explanation: O wysokości ciśnienia mowa analogicznie do mechaniki płynów. Względem płynów różnica jest jednak taka, że tam "head" odpowiada poziomowi płynu, a w przypadku materiałów sypkich mamy tarcie wewnętrzne i tarcie o ścianki i poziom nie równa się „head". Dlatego też wprowadzono pojęcie „effective head", które odzwierciedla rzeczywisty nacisk materiałów sypkich (po uwzględnieniu tarcia o ścianki i tarcia wewnętrznego). Reference: effective head Reference information: EH, ft -- Effective Head (EH) is determined as a result of material sliding on the cylinder walls. As it slides, the material loses some of its head pressure due to shear along the walls and is referred to as EH rather than the actual head of material. The effective head typically ranges from 5 to 40 ft.
