English term (edited):
bushel / peck
"bushel" (korzec) / "peck" (ćwierć)
These are non-standard and being phased out. Best I think to put them in quotes and give a Polish equivalent in brackets, footnote or TN as seems appropriate.

: I've never heard peck = ćwierć. Where did you find it?// ćwierć = 1/4 (one fourth) - that's the general meaning of this word.

A not very reliable source - Wiki "The Polish bushel (korzec) was used as measure of dry capacity. It was divided into 4 quarters (ćwierć)"

Reference:
peck
A peck is an imperial and United States customary unit of dry volume,[1] equivalent to 2 gallons or 8 dry quarts or 16 dry pints (9.09 (UK) or 8.81 (US) liters). Two pecks make a kenning (obsolete), and four pecks make a bushel. Although the peck is no longer widely used, some produce, such as apples, is still often sold by the peck. Despite being referenced in a common tongue twister, pickled peppers are so rarely sold by the peck that any association between pickled peppers and the peck unit of measurement is considered humorous in nature.
Discussion
Wiele firm z krajów anglosaskich na rysunkach technicznych zamieszcza wymiary i w milimetrach, i w calach, np.

http://catalogs.fibox.com/catalogs/images/dimensions/MNX100L... .
Koniec dziobania z mojej strony. ;-)
However, on September 23, 1999, communication with the spacecraft was lost as the spacecraft went into orbital insertion, due to ground-based computer software which produced output in non-SI units of pound-seconds (lbf s) instead of the metric units of newton-seconds (N s) specified in the contract between NASA and Lockheed.

For export purposes, the US is mostly metric. I maintain two sets of wrenches, etc.

The only remaining nonmetric countries in the world are the United States, Liberia, and Myanmar (Burma). - http://www.infoplease.com/askeds/metric-holdouts.html

Jeżeli Szanowna Pytaczka potrzebuje tłumaczenia do akurat takiego zastosowania albo do dialogu w filmie, to IMO można zastosować fonetyczny zapis "pek" (przy czym w powieści ja bym dodał przypis z wyjaśnieniem). W innych sytuacjach nie widzę potrzeby spolszczania.
buszel = ok. 36 litrów
korzec = ok. 120 litrów
