This is an excerpt from a book about psychiatry (psychosis and neurosis). CONTEXT: "This case seems very different from that of Emma. The sexual content of the thoughts is not repressed but rather attributed to others. It’s as if the whole world knows something about her, and is reproaching her for a wicked sexuality. If the symptom of being unable to enter a shop alone was opaque for Emma, it was transparent for Helene: she would avoid a public place because everyone there knew she was pregnant and a woman of low morals."

agree  Łukasz Gos-Furmankiewicz: Nie tłumaczyłbym tego jednak ani w kategoriach odrazy (revulsion, disgust), ani gorszenia (scandalising), ani potępienia (reproachable itd.). Co prawda "zdeprowawana" jest zajęta ("depraved"), ale może "zepsuta"?
