Reference: Trailing suction hopper dredger Reference information: A design requirement directly related to the hopper shape is that the sand level at restricted loads needs to be higher than the sea level. Such a requirement is of importance in situations where it is not possible to dredge to the dredge mark because of the water depth. If the sea level is higher than the sand level, the water cannot flow out and the ship can’t be loaded economically. Constant Tonnage system - Figure 2-37 http://www.dredging.org/documents/ceda/downloads/vlasblom2-t... - page 31 2. When the overflow is reached tov, but the ship is not yet on its dredge mark, the hopper volume remains constant (constant volume loading). - page 93 3. The overflow is reached and the ship is on the dredge mark. In this case the weight of the total load (water and sand) remains constant (constant tonnage loading). - page 93 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2015-10-04 14:18:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 3.13 Pogłębiarki - https://www.prs.pl/__files/parent75/srl_c4_2010.pdf - page 24 |
