I guess "travel" refers to what we call "curso" in Portuguese?

If so, a travel board would be the part that serves the purpose of limiting that travel?

I can´t think of a name in Portuguese and research shows very different meanings for "travel board"

It is a very useful tool to use in the case of measure angles. You just have to measure the angle of the surface.
