Consider whether or not the integer that might overflow has been derived from the length of a string.
If it has, it is safe to assume that the string fits inside the process's address space, which puts an upper bound on the string's length.

Reference information:
O computador trabalha com variáveis e trata de modo diferente números inteiros e sequências de texto. Os números inteiros tem um número fixo de dígitos que servem para realizar operações aritméticas. As sequências de caracteres também tem tamanho fixo e nâo podem ser usadas para fazer operações aritméticas. Porém as vezes é preciso transformar uma sequência de texto que possua apenas números em uma variável numérica. No entanto as sequências de texto são maiores que as numéricas. Caso o número em formato texto (string) não caiba na variável numérica (integer) o computador trunca a sequência devido ao que ele chama de 'overflow' ou seja ele fica apenas com a parte da variável texto que cabe na variável numérica.
